Monday Jazz this week 6.5.23 @ Brother Don’s will feature special guest artist Bobby Medina on trumpet. Originally from Los Angeles, Trumpeter, Bandleader and Composer Bobby Medina has performed with many of the world’s legendary artists, including Ray Charles, Mel Torme, The Four Tops, Frankie Valli and The Temptations to name just a few. His electrifying performances are both highly artistic as well as humorous and entertaining. As a composer, Bobby is currently bringing his own brand of Latin influenced jazz to concert audiences and educational presentations across the world. Bobby has performed in more than 20 countries and in cities ranging from New York City to Tel Aviv, Buenos Aires to Tokyo. Mr. Medina’s genre-bending style appeals to people of all ages and walks of life. We are excited to have Bobby share his extraordinary playing with us! Also in the band Brian Monroney on guitar, Osama Afifi on bass, Mark Ivester on drums, and I hear the Tor Dietrichson may be adding some latinpercission to the mix.
