This week 8.10.26 Monday Jazz @ Brother Don’s will feature special guest artists Olivia James on vocals and Tim Lerch world renowned Jazz and Blues guitarist.

Olivia James is an award-winning jazz vocalist and songwriting student at the Tacoma School of the Arts. The winner of the prestigious 2025 Seattle-Kobe Female Jazz Vocalist Audition (High School Division), she approaches classic jazz standards with a songwriter's keen ear for lyricism, melody, and deep musical structure.

Olivia’s exceptional stage presence has already earned her international recognition, highlighted by recent vocal jazz performances in Kobe, Japan. A strong background in dance lends a natural rhythm and effortless charisma to her live sets. Olivia brings a fresh, soulful voice to the classic jazz tradition, delivering an authentic performance that resonates with music lovers of all generations.

Tim’s style is a musical gumbo of Jazz, Blues and Roots influences. Possessing of a very distinctive, personal sound and stylistic diversity, Lerch is a masterful improviser whose music reflects his playful nature and his love of the history of American Music. In addition to his impressive playing and singing, Tim is an  educator, popular YouTuber and Emmy award winning composer, Tim is a member of the legendary Northwest Gypsy Jazz Group Pearl Django, leader of the Tim Lerch Trio and is half of the very popular guitar duo with Jamie Findlay. Over the past 50 years Tim has performed with a long list of greats in many styles.
